This four-piece series explores the complexities of human perception through the lens of cognitive bias and subconscious influence. As we navigate interactions, our understanding of reality is shaped by individual perspectives, often limiting us to what we believe is true. Inspired by my studies in psychology, this work deconstructs perception into four distinct concepts: Absolute, Subjective, Objective, and Super-Subjective. Each concept is given a unique interpretation, representing the varied ways we engage with truth and reality. Through this visualization, the series invites viewers to reflect on their own cognitive biases and question the nature of understanding. Additionally, the piece incorporates a concept I coined “polysyntaic rhythm.” This innovative element allows viewers to engage with the work in multiple flows, reflecting the multifaceted nature of perspective. By facilitating 24 unique combinations of interpretation, polysyntaic rhythm further emphasizes the dynamic interplay of the four conceptual lenses. Through this series, I aim to highlight the fluidity of perception and the intricate ways in which our subconscious shapes reality.
